Coronation: The Big Help Out

Monday 8th May is tagged as The Big Help Out, a community volunteer day, to 'give back' as part of coronation events (https://www.royal.uk/coronation-weekend-plans-announced).

This is an opportunity for a Village Hall facelift and we invite support from across the village community, clubs and societies to donate some time as we tackle some maintenance tasks. The Village Hall Committee appreciates your support in advance, and there will be an opportunity to tour the hall, and read about some of it's history. A pop-up cafe will be providing refreshments too. We plan to meet at the Village Hall 10am on Monday 8th May. Look out for further details on Facebook and the website, or contact Nigel on 01306 627 157.

We have a number of jobs which could fit this (treat & paint the external windows and doors, renovate the notice-board, repair and treat the fences/gates to side and rear, and tidy up the verges and carpark). We will also have a 'pop-up cafe' and use the day for folks to get involved in the Village Hall, learn about it's history, and have a tour
