Ockley: A Year in the Life: Update

A chance to see the updated/edited version before we commence DVD production. To be held on Saturday 16th March at Ockley Cricket Pavilion.

In 1997, the Ockley Society supported the production of a video documenting a year in the life of Ockley. This video took us month by month through the year with its festivals and celebrations including, its defining event The Ocklympics which showed serious people being given silly things to do, providing great entertainment for the appreciative crowd.

The intervening 25 years have brought many changes to the village and its way of life, whilst many traditions like the annual quiz, the Cricket Sevens and the winter events of Bonfire night and Christmas are still enjoyed by all.

It is time to show the UPDATED new video which documented Ockley in 2022. With the advances in technology, almost everyone has a device to film events spontaneously and were invited to contribute. This is the result.

Doors open 7.30pm, screening will be at 8pm.

Tickets: Free - just turn up, no need to book in advance.

At the end of the evening you will be able to order a DVD of the 2022 and 1997 film.
